With nearly ten years of leadership at Aoba-Japan International School — including serving as Admissions Director — Ae K. brings deep expertise in guiding families through every stage of the school admissions process. She oversaw all aspects of admissions operations, met with families to understand their educational goals, and helped students find environments where they could learn, grow, and truly thrive. As both an international school graduate and a parent of international school students, she offers a well-rounded and empathetic perspective on what families need during this important transition.

Born to 2nd generation Korean parents in Osaka, Ae grew up as a true third-culture kid. An IB Diploma recipient from Canadian Academy and graduate of Babson College, she has built a global career that blends education, business, and strategic communication. Prior to her work in international schools, she spent nearly a decade at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities, developing strengths in relationship-building, communication, and thoughtful guidance — qualities that shape her work with families today.

Ae is deeply committed to making a positive difference in children’s lives. She believes education is one of the most meaningful fields to serve in and that genuine connection, clarity, and care can transform the admissions journey for families.
